It automatically cinches the rope when it runs too quickly, and the thumb catch lets you loosen the rope when you’re ready to lower your climber. A massive rope diameter range accommodates most single ropes, skinny and thick. Wild Country made the device with steel in all the braking elements for added durability. Aluminum makes up the rest of the device for a lightweight feel in hand, and the thumb catch keeps heat build-up from friction to a minimum.
